Deep night (Spacey Panda & Fer Synths)
video upload by Spacey Panda
"Thanks to the very talented Fer Synths for the amazing contribution to this track, without you, this project would not have been possible.
- Fer Synths profile: https://on.soundcloud.com/JXogh
- Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@FerSynths
'A synergy emerges as Fer Synths's electric guitar's soulful echoes entwine with the ethereal whispers of synth, creating a mesmerizing and mysterious slow-paced composition that captivates the senses.
Enigmatic melodies weave through the air, casting a spell of tranquility. The hypnotic rhythm unfolds at a leisurely pace, drawing listeners into a mysterious realm where time seems to stand still.'"

Hit Like a Girl
『Hit Like A Girl Contest 2018』Good Times Bad Times - LED ZEPPELIN / Cover by Yoyoka , 8 year old drummer from よよか on Vimeo.
My name is Yoyoka Soma. I am 8 year old Japanese drummer.
https://www.youtube.com/user/kaneaikaneai
When I was a just small baby, my parents had a home studio and there were various kinds of instruments. My parents were performing music activities as amateur singer-songwriters and they cradled me with their music. When I listened to their songs and guitar performances, I was eager to join them and couldn’t stop beating out a rhythm. That was why I started playing the drums. The drum was the first instrument in which I felt an interest in my life. My parents’ music peers often visited us to play together. I was glued to the powerful and dynamic performances by the drummers. At age 2, I was playing the drums as if I were playing with toys. At age 4, I started performing at concerts. At age 5, my family band “Kaneaiyoyoka” was formed by my parents. We have released 2 self-produced CD albums so far. Not only the drums, I also play the keyboard and perform as a vocalist. I compose lyrics and music as well.
My favorite drummers are John Bonham, Chris Coleman and Benny Greb.
As a drummer, I enjoy being groove, tones and try to support vocalists carefully. My dream is to be the best drummer in the world. In addition, I want to be an artist who can do anything: playing all instruments, recording music, mixing the sound and designing the CD album jackets. As I am aiming at overseas activities, I am studying English conversation. I want to become friends with people all over the world through my musical activities!
As HLAG is a contest only for women, I definitely can’t lose it. I want to be the best female drummer. Thanks to the great support by my family and fans, I can continue the practice and other musical activities. I want to show the best result of my daily practice and come out on top of this contest!

Hearing Madge
Published on Jan 24, 2017 Aeon Video
"Pressing the ashes of the dead onto records: odd novelty or tender remembrance?
When it first made headlines in 2010, Jason Leach’s UK-based company And Vinyly – which presses the ashes of the deceased into vinyl records for loved ones wishing to hold onto their memory – appeared to be something of a macabre novelty. But there might be more to preserving the departed (quite literally) on records than first meets the eye – and ear. Hearing Madge explores how Leach’s venture was given new meaning when he was approached by a man looking to save his mother’s recollections that he had recorded shortly before her death. Surprisingly touching, Andrea Lewis’s short documentary is both a profile of an unusual business and a thought-provoking contemplation of the ways we chose to remember the dead.

Sounds of Crickets
"Tom Waits (on Jim Wilson): "Wilson, he's always playing with time. I heard a recording recently of crickets slowed way down. It sounds like a choir, it sounds like angel music. Something sparkling, celestial with full harmony and bass parts - you wouldn't believe it. It's like a sweeping chorus of heaven, and it's just slowed down, they didn't manipulate the tape at all. So I think when Wilson slows people down, it gives you a chance to watch them moving through space. And there's something to be said for slowing down the world."

Бременские музыканты. Наши дни.
YouTube Uploaded by tigfinger on Oct 2, 2011
"Мотоцикл с барабанной установкой построил московский байкер Александр Ишутин. Музыкант, бизнесмен и просто увлеченный человек, он считает, что в Москве все меньше и меньше остается чего-то необычного. Александр вспоминает, как в 90-е годы на Смотровую площадку, где традиционно собираются все столичные байкеры, приезжали действительно необычные аппараты. Сейчас, по его мнению, основная тенденция - пойти в мотосалон, купить большой мотоцикл и ничего в нем не переделывать."
Googlish:
"Motorcycle with a drum kit built biker Moscow Alexander Ishutin. Musician, businessman and simply fascinated by people, he believes that Moscow is less and less remains for something unusual. Alexander recalls how in the 90s to the observation deck, which traditionally brings together all the capital's bikers were coming really unusual vehicles. Now, in his opinion, the main trend - go to the Motobike Salon, buy a big bike and did not alter it."

"hardware: arc4
software: electric dharma wheels
I received a production-run arc4 with the final firmware on Friday. This signaled a mad scramble to update my work for that and the latest serialosc with arc support so it'll be ready when people start receiving their units in a few days. So what do I do on Saturday? Make a new app, of course. Sure, that totally sounds like the responsible thing to do.
After receiving the arc4, I thought it might be a good idea to produce an example that demonstrates a 'bank' of encoder values that you can switch between. That gave birth to an application idea involving triggering modal notes from a pool of probabilities across three octaves of scale degrees. There is a separate bank of pitches depending on clockwise or counterclockwise rotation so you can shift the harmony with a simple gesture. The weighting of scale degrees is programmable and editable in real time on screen or with a MIDI controller. This allows for a more controlled structuring of compositional development over longer periods of time. The speed of the rotation determines how often a note is triggered, and can also be used as a modulation parameter for the FM synthesis engine.
Relevant synthesis parameters are also editable on the arc as the notes are triggered. The state of these parameters is overlaid on the LEDs, so interesting patterns emerge when this mode is engaged. There was a really awesome bug where switching editing modes also transposed the output modally, so I built in a score feature that allows you to advance a programmed chord progression with a button push.
A sit-the-arc-in-your-lap-and-doodle app has been on my mind a lot and I have at least three good starts in this area, but other priorities have often pushed these out of the way. The prototype arc2 I had lacked the mounting bracket for the USB cable and the logic board was floating free inside the enclosure, so I always had to use it (carefully) on a stationary, flat surface. It is really nice to have an arc that can be moved around or used in the lap. My cat disagrees.
I recorded this video, holocene, as a demonstration of this app, which I'm calling electric dharma wheels. This is the raw output from the electric dharma wheels, with some Eos reverb added after the fact.
